Mayagüez: the anchor
Mayagüez has the most stores in the least distance on the west coast, and it is where you start. Expect everyday secondhand at honest prices — denim under $25, basics under $15, and the occasional real vintage piece that nobody flagged.
Rincón: beach and slow fashion
Thirty minutes north, Rincón thrifts like the surf town it is: swimwear, linen, sun-faded tees, sandals and a slow-fashion streak. Stock follows the seasonal crowd, so shoulder season — right after winter visitors leave — is the strongest window.
Aguadilla: the last stop
Aguadilla rounds out the loop with cheap basics and beachwear. Hours are irregular here more than anywhere else on the route, so make it your morning stop if you can, or call ahead.
Route it properly
Aguadilla early, Rincón mid-day, Mayagüez in the afternoon — roughly an hour of total driving. Coming from San Juan, budget two and a half hours each way and make it a full day rather than a detour.
